SmartSphero Plates microstructured hydrogels is designed for simple and consistent spheroid formation and the hydrogel shape provides a microenvironment which enables the cells to sediment and self-aggregate within hours

SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD MULTIWELL PLATES WITH MICROWELLS FOR SPHEROIDS’ ASSEMBLY:
6, 12 and 24 well plates, with micro-well size of 14 mm or 10 mm
Each plates’ well has 19, 55 or 91 individual microwells where spheroids are cultured
The microstructured hydrogel are made of biocompatible polyethylene glycol
Optionally the microwells can be coated with an ECM matrix to increase the physio mimetism and adherence of the spheroid to the anchoring point
The gels are preserved in a water based solution to keep their mechanical and optical properties

Each SmartSphero Plate (SSP) comes in individual packaging
The SmartSphero Plates (SSP) are compatible with glass bottom plates for 6, 12, and 24 well formats, with micro-well sizes of 14 mm or 10 mm.
The size of the spheroids or organoids after culture typically ranges between 150 µm and 500 µm.
The SmartSphero Plates (SSP) have an expiration date of 1 month.
Store the SmartSphero Plates (SSP) sealed at room temperature.
Organoids can be collected at the end of culture by individually pipetting them or through enzymatic digestion.
The SmartSphero Plates (SSP) alone do not support vascularization. Vascularization can be achieved using the CubiX platform.
