Cherry Biotech’s mission
Cherry Biotech’s mission is to develop the most advanced technological platform using in-vitro human biological models to evaluate the impact of compounds (e.g. drugs, endocrine disruptors, cosmetics) on the human body to better treat pathologies and predict adverse side effects. The platform aims to be the best alternative to ineffective animal models by combining novel microfluidic technologies, artificial intelligence, and the most advanced imaging techniques.
Our context today
Recently awarded from the European competition EIC accelerator, we are currently in the process of fund-raising and at a new development stage of our company.
The CubiX, our main product, is in a pre-sales phase and we are now offering service activities. We are also involved in several international scientific collaborations which allow us to keep ahead of our competitors, to test our devices with top-notch scientific support and to further explore new potential innovations to integrate into our current and future products.
Our team
To meet all the challenges of our company, we have built a united and hardworking group. We are a multidisciplinary team of 20 people of 9 different nationalities, passionate about our mission, helping each other, and adapting to all situations.

What do we offer?
We are entering a new growth phase following the EIC Accelerator award. To support this next step and the fund-raising linked to this development phase, we are looking for our new Finance Manager.
Mission
- Lead, manage and motivate the company’s finance department (currently comprising 1 Office Manager and 1 Purchasing, Logistics and Sales Coordinator).
- Contribute actively to the fund-raising, in close collaboration with the President and the VP Finance.
- Co-build the financial strategy.
- Build and follow-up tools and relevant reports for the management and the investors.
- Work in close relations with the external accountant in order to produce monthly analysis.
- Follow-up the budgets dedicated to European projects and research tax credits, and take part in calls for projects.
- Manage the cash flow.
- Assist the CEO on legal matters in interaction with external counsel.
- Support the company expansion abroad.
What are we looking for:
- Experience of minimum 5 years as a Finance Manager
- Master in Finance or similar degree
- Strong expertise in accounting and management controlling
- You have ideally already experienced a fund-raising in a start-up context
- You have already managed a team and are recognized as a leader
- You are a team player, committed, autonomous and with a hands-on attitude
- Microsoft Office has no secret for you
- You are rigorous, organized and methodical
- English fluent speaker and good writing skills are mandatory
- You know how to adapt, deal with the unexpected and find solutions to any problems you encounter
Other information
- Salary range : 50K€ – 70K€ depending on experience
- Occasional homeworking possible
- Lunch-voucher of 8€ (60% paid by Cherry Biotech)
